52nd GRAMMY AWARDS – The Highlights of the Night

The 52nd Grammy Awards were aired at 8:00 pm this Sunday on CBS. Here are the highlights of the event, for those who missed it.

There was in total 16 performances by various artists such as, Lady Gaga, Drake, Pink, Lil’ Wayne, and Elton John.

There was 26.6 millions people on tuned in CBS to watch the Award Show. The Grammy Awards had not gotten that much viewers since 2004.

The Red Carpet

At her arrival Lady Gaga looked better than I ever saw her. She was wearing Armani Prive.

“I am honored to be wearing Armani this evening.” said Gaga “The series of pieces Mr. Armani created for me are truly iconic; they represent not only beautiful fashion, but my spirit and essence as an artist.”

The young actress Lea Micheal arrived at the event with a splendid navy mini-dress.

Michele claims this dress was her second pick. She said the first one made her experience “wardrobe malfunction”.

“You could see through the entire thing.”

The Winners

Beyoncé ended up with a staggering amount of 6 awards. Taylor Swift with 4 and (my favorite) Lady Gaga with 2.

52nd GRAMMY AWARDS – Sunday Night CBS

The 52nd Grammy Awards will be presented on January 31st, 2010 at 8:00 PM on CBS in Los Angeles, Californation.

The Grammy Awards are given to artists who has achieved outstanding achievement in the music industry. The Awards cover a multitude of music genres for everyone.

During this widely televised ceremony will be performances by artists such as Lady Gaga, Lil’ Wayne, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé and many more.

From pop to gospel music, the Grammy Awards will have 31 categories and 109 Awards will be giving out during the ceremony.
A special tribute for Micheal Jackson is expected.

JEAN-PAUL GAULTHIER – Spring 2010 Couture

Jean-Paul Gaulthier‘s Spring Haute Couture Collection of 2010 is filled with Mexican ponchos and sombreros. Along with exotic, tribal and military vibes that was inspired by the Aztec culture and the movie “Avatar”.

The texture, shape, color and fit is amazing. His pieces were meticulously crafted, with great precision, and ingenuity.

“I saw ‘Avatar’ and, like everyone, found it extraordinary. And from there, I began thinking of nature and ecology, and the Latin American tropics and from there it was not very far to Mexico.”

LADY GAGA – Haitian Relief

Since the earthquake in Haiti, Lady Gaga is doing her best to give relief to the Haitians from this disaster.

Lady Gaga is urging her ‘Little Monsters’ to help Haiti.

“Spread the word all around the world, so we can raise as much money as possible.”

… says Lady Gaga on her website.

She recalls the day of 9/11 and how it had scared her. She admits feeling like “no one ever understood” how the population of New York City felt. This is why she says that her fans should help out in the relief effort of the Haitian disaster.

She also revealed that all the money that earns during her concert, in New York, on January 24, will go to Haiti.

JAY-Z’s New Single – ON TO THE NEXT ONE

“On to the next one” is Jay-Z’s new hot single featuring Swizz Beatz. It’s date of release was on January 1st, 2010, it was the first video released in the decade!

The video is completely in black and white. It displays images of  skulls, crucifixes, bullets, burning basketballs, and much more. I really enjoy watching this video because of it’s original and awesome imagery.

Already the video has contracted some controversy because the video displays images against the Church. Jay-Z is accused of Satanism and a considerable amount of people think this accusation true. Some say that at some point, Jay-Z will need to explain himself, because these quick assumptions are being publisized like wild fire all over the internet and Jay-Z cannot afford getting negative publicity of this kind.

Introduction to Alexander McQueen

I spent most of my night on Alexander McQueen‘s website drooling while looking at his designs. They fascinate me.

I believe that anyone who does not enjoy Couture fashion can still appreciate his artistic designs.

He has quite a collection of very interesting and original pieces. I believe McQueen is a fashion genius, that can flawlessly make clothes in the most unique ways I have ever seen.

He has designed clothes for celebrities such Cameron Diaz, Fergie and most of all Lady Gaga.

The picture on the side shows one of my favorite outfits by Alexander McQueen. I will also add that they were many others that I loved.

Gaga on Oprah

Lady Gaga was on Oprah earlier this week. Notorious for her fashion statements, Gaga presented herself with a spiky, flower-like hair.

The picture shows Gaga and Oprah wearing old-fashion Jean Paul Gaultier sunglasses.

At the end of the show, Gaga gave Oprah a pair sunglasses, as well as a hair bow.
